Bridging BORA & Polygon with C2CC
What is Purple Bridge?
Please meet Purple Bridge, a cross-chain bridge between BORA and Polygon, allowing seamless interaction between the two networks. Purple Bridge will enable the BORA and Polygon community to transfer funds from one to another securely and quickly without any hassle.
BORA team believes that collaboration is the key to success. They are dedicated to delivering the best products to our community, and that’s why BORA team has partnered with Purple Bridge — the DeFi Guru — to power Purple Bridge.
You can now access the Purple Bridge by clicking the “Purple” icon on BORA Portal to swap your assets across BORA and Polygon. And in the near future, BORA team will be implementing this functionality on our own portal as well, to bring the bridge a little closer to our community.
And Purple Bridge will only grow bigger from here — they are planning to add more bridges connecting BORA to other chains to enhance the accessibility of BORA from various mainnets and communities. BORA team are more than excited to meet a new global audience with Purple Bridge!

General Mechanism
The detailed steps below explain the mechanism of converting the tBORA token to pBORA token on Polygon using Purple Bridge.
User Request The user requests the Purple Bridge to convert tBORA to pBORA.
Lock tBORA on Bora chain Upon acceptance of the request, tBORA is locked in a smart contract on Bora.
Message transfer *C2CC, the omnichain messaging protocol, sends a message about the request to Polygon.
Mint pBORA on Polygon chain After successful message verification, the user will receive pBORA into the wallet on Polygon through a smart contract. The minted pBORA represents the locked assets from Bora.
Users can follow a similar process in reverse. They can burn the minted pBORA on Polygon, which triggers the release of the tBORA on Bora.
Technical Background
Purple Bridge utilized omnichain technology, C2CC(https://c2cc.xyz), to enhance the security and availability of Purple Bridge. C2CC enables the transfer of any type of message between different chains and thoroughly verifies its validity.
